Couples on the dating show dined in Oak Cliff, Lower Greenville, Addison and Uptown on their quest for love.
Dallas is the backdrop of the newest season of Netflix’s hit dating show Love is Blind — where a group of 20- to 30-somethings date each other in isolated pods and get engaged without ever seeing one another.
Most of the show, which follows the romantic pursuits of a handful of Dallasites, is filmed in Dallas, which means local bars and restaurants get brief moments in the spotlight, too. Here are all of the Dallas bars and restaurants featured so far on season three of Love is Blind.
(Warning: There are some spoilers in here.)
Couple SK and Raven met up with her friends on the patio of Ida Claire — the Southern restaurant in Addison that’s been around since 2015. Regardless if they made the right choice in choosing each other, they did appear to order well with plates of Ida’s biscuits, hot honey sliders and cocktails.
Sundown at Granada
The full cast of the show, even some of those who didn’t find love in the pods, gathered on the rooftop of Sundown at Granada. The Lower Greenville restaurant and bar next to Granada Theater served as a backdrop for some classic he-said-she-said reality TV drama undoubtedly fueled by the free-flowing alcohol.
This Knox Henderson nightclub got a mention when cast member Colleen allegedly ghosted her fiancé Matt and left him behind to go clubbing on a Wednesday night. Wednesday is the one weekday when the Candleroom is open, and they host what they call “Candleroom Wednesdays” with a live DJ and bottle service from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Sketches of Spain
Zanab and Cole sat at the bar of Sketches of Spain – the Spanish-style tapas restaurant in Oak Cliff – and drank wine and ate the restaurant’s signature Spanish cheesecake, which was recommended by a server. “This is like a real, real cheesecake,” the server said. “Fluffy,” was Zanab’s critique. “This looks way more homemade,” Cole said.
Couple Alexa and Brennan had dinner with friends at Kent Rathbun’s restaurant Imoto. The Pan-Asian Victory Park restaurant has since closed, with Rathbun citing financial troubles and a tough location as the culprits.
Nancy and Bartise dined at Perry’s Steakhouse in Uptown where Nancy, for the first time in her life, tried a rib, which Bartise fed her off of his fork. Verdict? Hard to tell if she actually liked it.
This isn’t a restaurant feature, but it deserves a mention. SK and Raven set off on a gondola dinner cruise on Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas. They ate Caesar salad (and probably other things, too) and talked about the future and SK’s plans to go to school in California. Gondola Adventures offers an Italian Dinner Cruise where you too can eat Caesar salad while taking in the Las Colinas skyline for $329 per couple.
Bonus: Felix Culpa
Fourteen of the show’s 30 cast members and their family and friends recently gathered at Felix Culpa on Henderson Avenue for a watch party of the show they filmed more than a year ago. They celebrated with a cake and cocktails. The final episode of Love is Blind will be released Nov. 9.
